To the West, and within a very short drive (5 min.) one can find some of the Algarve's best beaches, like Galé, Salgados, Evaristo, São Lourenço, just to name a few, the Salgados Golf Course and Nature Reserve (with walkway - great for bird watching), a quality supermarket and a variety of restaurants, one with 2 Michelin Stars. All beaches have bars/restaurants, serving delicious meals during the holiday season.

The town centre, located 5 km East of the villa, with shopping centre and its picturesque old town along the sandy Fishermen's beach (also accessible through an elevator) offers an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and live shows during the holiday season.

The charming village of Guia, with several restaurants specialising in Chicken Piri-Piri (chicken with spicy sauce), banks and cake shops is just a 5 min drive away. Just outside Guia you will find Zoomarine, an amusement park with an aquarium with dolphin shows, a zoo with other animal shows, rollercoasters, water slides (great for kids) and the second largest shopping centre in the region, with many shops, restaurants, cinema and a supermarket. For a great family day out, there are also a choice of water parks, karting track and a zoo with mini golf.
